Bubba
sketch and close up
The carnivore and top level predator in the forest is Bubba. His physical characteristics were influenced by the bear, buffalo, and lion. While extremely large and powerful, it is quite slow and loud. Notice how Bubba's fur is dark, much like the large trees that grow in the forest. In the CRL experiment, this species will be referred to as Gruffus.
Vlad
sketch and close up
The mid-level omnivore, and reptile is Vlad. His special ability involves camouflage, by changing his skin to the environment that he is in. This attribute is similar to that of a chameleon, which changes it's skin to for either hunting or hiding. It's is nubile and cautious and borrows physical attributes from the Iguana, the Chameleon, and the Scorpion. His tail is the defensive element. In the CRL experiment, this species will be referred to as Libarah.
Anna
sketch and close up
The low-level herbivore is a tiny little bird, named Anna. These herbivores travel in groups. It borrows from the chickadee, as well as the chicken. It's only defense is it's incredible cuteness, which will only fend off predators with warm fuzzy hearts. Like other birds in Hopeful Monster, Anna has a rat like tail, and cannot really fly. In the CRL experiment, this species will be referred to as Gabbia.
Plants from left to right: Boski, Pedia, Aduna
There are three different plant species in the desert: Pedia (the delicious plant), Aduna (the poisonous plant) and Boski (the non-nutritious).The three different plant species in the forest include a mushroom like plant, one that collects water in it's buckets and one that looks like no other forest plant in the real world. Unlike the other biomes, the plants do not have similar features to the animals species in the environment. The forest environment is partially based on a redwood forest, allowing different types of undergrowth and tall trees, creating a canopy and lots of shaded areas on the ground.
